How do you manage STVi plugins in SageMC

I think I may have loaded ShadeInfoBlue's Popup plugin more than once but I can' figure out how to manage plugins in SageMC. When you go to Detailed SEtup and Manage Plugins it says Base STV File" SageTV3.xml and no plugins but that is not the STV file that I am using. I am assuming that SageMC kind of tricks Sage to think it is using the default STV when in Detailed Setup. If so then how do I see which STVi's that I have installed?

SageMC does not have that functionality. You need to track your plugins manually.

Mike

So I guess the only way to uninstall a plugin is to revert back to the default SageMC STV? Is it generally an issue if you install a STVi more than once?

That is correct. You should never install a plugin over an older version. Very bad things will happen.

Mike

But how do you know if you have an older version installed?

Make a directory called "Installed Plugins" or whatever, and save a copy of the zip file there every time you install one. That way you'll know exactly what you have, and if you ever need to rebuild your installation, you'll have everything you need right there.

That's pretty much how I do it.

Aloha,

My alternative to that is simply to delete all plug-ins I decide not to use. Additionally, I number the ones I do use, so that I add them in sequence. While the install sequence very rarely causes issues, it does help to know which one you just did when you're running through and installing a handful.
