Question Audio Lip Sync ahead of picture

Since upgrading to V6.6.2.218 with java 1.6.0_15 I've been getting a sync problem with the audio and picture, this is when watching recorded programs or live TV. Forward or back will get them back in sync, but after 2 mins the picture is behind again by 1 sec.

I've looked around the forums, but these types of problems seem to exist a few years ago so the fixed suggested aren't applicable.

Any ideas. This was fine before this upgrade.

Also more background. Just before the up grade I perform a fresh install of Vista on the machine I'm using for Sage. I've tested Windows Media Centre and that play back is fine no sync issue.

Thanks in advance for any help.

try with another audio decoder, like ffdshow, arcsoft audio, microsoft audio, etc.

thanks for the suggestion. Have spent the last couple of hours. testing the Audio Decorder setup. Have tried all the option available - default, MPEG Audio, Microsoft MPEG 1/33, SAGE TV MPEG, AC3 Filter, FFDShow all generated the same. Also tried a different Audio Render. But still same problem.

The audio drivers for my motherboard are from Realtek so check them, and found them to be out of date, so have updated them, but still the same problem.

Any other suggestions?

more background

something else has started to happen. To correct the lip sync I've been using the forward and back buttons. if I do the forward a twice it sometime crashes SageTV completely. No error screen comes up, just stop's the executable and unloads from memory. It is major problem when watching live tv as I then miss the few mins while Sage re loads.

so this morning I got the Java 1.6.0_16 update. Applied this, and now everything is working correctly again. I can only guess that the previous version was corrupt somehow and this was causing the problems I was seeing.
