Just the Main Movie RIP of Blu-Ray --- Possible?
I am using anyDVD to rip Blu-Ray movies to my WHS disk farm, but Blu-Ray takes up a lot of space and all I care about is the main movie. What products and or procedures are you using to RIP Blu-Rays? Anyone just ripping the movie with audio only?

There are lots of threads about this - and lots of us do the movie only.
Search the forums for tsmuxer and/or bdinfo. With anydvd loaded you can use them to extract just the movie and audio of choice.

MakeMKV is also a great choice.

dvdfab v6 works really well for me... i no longer play the "copy the entire disk to the hdd, and use bdinfo/bdedit/tsmuxer to extract just the audio/video/subtitle tracks i care about" game ... On some disks that dvdfab will not decrypt i just let anydvd do the decrypting and dvdfab do the copying, it seems to work really really well; no fubared audio, timeline, chapter count, etc.

Repeat: Both MakeMKV and tsmuxer will let you rip just the main movie and remove any unwanted audio or cc tracks. MakeMKV is probably easier to use but tsmuxer will let you keep it in a m2ts container. This can be done with AnyDVD without even ripping the disk first.
You can also compress the movie further with other tools. |
