Program Guide: Show Only Movies?

Sage's Program Guide seems to know from movies bc it presents their titles with a lavender background.

'twood be nice to see a list of only upcoming movies.

Is there a way?

We have a Favorite for Movies so 'additional airings' shows all the upcoming movies. We record them all and then dump the ones we don't like. If you just want to look at the schedule, maybe schedule some to record, and then turn it off, you can toggle between 'all channels' and a channel which has 'no future airings'.

Is that using native SageTV? Or are you using SageTV Studio?

I pulled up the .PDF documentation for SageTV Studio and tried hitting Ctl+Shift+F12 to fire it up - but all I'm getting is an apparently-endless circle thingie (the one some SageTV products use instead of an HourGlass)

The default STV with the secret extras under Schedule Recordings.. custom menu you can set up guides and filter what you would like to see. You can set up up to 6 views..

Sounds like I have to get SageTV Studio running, right?

But when I press Ctl+Shift+F10, all I get is an apparently-endless hourglass substitute (the circular arrow).

Or do I just need to go away from the PC for twenty minutes or so while it finished some very time-consuming-one-time-only initialization?

if you are using the default UI you can just enable the extras by going to "setup" then "help" then system information and type in 5309.

Studio is for programming your own menus, etc. The 'Extras' are already programmed and ready for use once unlocked.

Yup sweet huh, but I think you also need dynamic menus to get to the upcoming movies guide view you are looking for. It's in there but without Studio or dynamic menus I don't know you can access it. Maybe you can I can't recall.

I use the other view "Series Premiers / Specials" extensively to setup my favorites.

No; see the topic for the hidden features. It is one of the "Extra: Custom Menus".
