skipping commercials with sagemc

I am having a problem with information overload and I apologize if this question has been answered before:

How do you set up Sagemc to skip commercials? I installed sagemc and it appears to be working. I set up a recording and enabled comskip, but it did not skip or mark the commercials. Is there another plug-in that I need to install?

Has anybody made a manual or guide for SageMC?

Thanks! I'm actually putting the finishing touches on a slightly different way to do this - using comskip and dirmon2. Very similar to the guide linked to above though.
