It seems that every 10 minutes it wants to reprocess the files. I am sure that I have the must not exist boxes filled with txt and edl as per the instructions.

Btw...see you are in DC. That is where I am from originally. Was home last week to catch the tail end of the snow storm..quite a sight.

Why don't you just post a screen shot of your settings a picture is worth 1000 words.

I run this setup on a WHS machine (although my drive is not in the pool). So I know it should work.

Your problem is that you have txt or edl change that to must not exist txt and edl. because if you are only creating the EDL and no txt then it will always run over and over again. If your comskip ini is set to output_default=0 then remove the check for txt and just have must not exist edl.

Hmm well while what you have _should_ work logically, I wont say dirmon2 is bug free What I would try is:

Remove the 'txt' from the must not exists box and move the 'edl' to the left box, leaving the right box empty. We dont care about txt and comskip can leave a txt file behind even if it didnt finish (and not have an edl file). That woudl mean an interupted comskip would never rerun.

Should it not also have "Must Exist mpg OR ts" so that it picks up both mpg or ts recordings?

I have a different question regarding ShowAnalyzer that someone here may know the answer to:

I am using comskip with ShowAnalzyer and all works great. When I hit my remote to skip the commercial, it skips just fine, but we always get about ~1-2 seconds worth of the last commercial just before the movie continues.

Is this a setting in ShowAnalyzer (or comskip) that you can tell it to start the movie RIGHT on the mark and not get last 1-2 seconds of the commercial before the real movie continues?

Hope I am making sense. Not sure if I described the situation correctly.

Hey all,

Thanks to everyone who replied to my request for help. All were correct in pointing to the boolean logic in the triggers section.

I now have it working but the problem that Joe pointed out does need to be corrected as at some point in the future I will need to to process BOTH .mpg and .ts files.
