How To: Blu-ray Drive Integration

For those interested, here's a solution for integrating a Blu-ray drive seamlessly into SageTVClient using PowerDVD 8 and LM Remote Key.

LM Remote Key can be found here:

http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4/22/60/article.asp

Once you are done you can put a disk in your internal BD drive and press "Play Blu-ray/DVD". Inside PowerDVD you can use the remote to control all functions. When you are done watching press the "Green Button", "Windows Button" or "Back" button on your remote and you are seamlessly returned to SageTV.

Steps:

1. Install LM Remote Key
2. Put attached "profiles.xml" file in:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\LM Gestion\LM Remote KeyMap

3. Reboot
4. Add the following to your SageMC_menu.xml (Edit the BD Drive letter if necessary):

<actionMenuItem icon="hover_dvd.png" title="Play DVD/Blu-Ray">
<actionList>
<sageCommand command="Power Off"/>
<extCommand arguments="/fullscreen d:" command="C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD8\PowerDVD8.exe" waitforexit="1" window="normal"/>
<sageCommand command="Power On"/>
<sageCommand command="Restore Full Screen"/>
</actionList>
</actionMenuItem>

I've attached a complete sample SageMC_menu.xml for your reference (you will need to change UNC paths to use).

5. Unzip, then unrar and Copy the attached "black.dll" skin to PowerDVD 8 in:

C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD8\Skins

Configure PowerDVD to use it.

** It also allows you to launch SageTV from the Windows desktop by pressing the "Green" or "Windows" button on your remote. **

That's it! Enjoy.

Attaching version of profiles.xml for use with SageTV server.

Follow previous instructions - use attached profiles.xml for the SageTV Server instead of the previous profiles.xml for SageTV Client.

Can this be done with powerdvd 10 Ultra 3D?
would I just change the profiles.xml to read powerdvd10 instead of powerdvd8
Or would I have to change more?
