Problem with edited files placed in video imports

mpg video produced by Sage Server via Hauppauge USB PVR2 standard def, NTSC.
Recorded off tuner. Works fine as a file in the recordings directory.

Sent a copy of this file through VideoRedo to do cuts. Save as mpg and also vob files.
The new files play OK with Nero, VideoRedo;' windows medial player likes the new mpg but deadlocks on the vob. But that's irrelevant.

Copied the new mpg and vob files to Sage server v6.2 Imports folder.
The files do not appear in the listings for the imports. Used PC client on server (6.2 client), 6.6.2 client on an XP PC, and the MVP extender.

If I tell Sage client or MVP to browse to the folder via media choices menu, the two files appear and do play OK.

In the win XP PC client, the two new files are listed in white font face whereas all the other mpg and avi files there are in a color font face.

Stumped.
