RegEx for Favorites?

I have a favorite to record shows with the word "skating" in the title. However, I do not want shows that have "roller skating" in the title. My thought is a regular expression would be the solution to this and other needs I have to record favorites.

Does anyone have a simple solution to this?

Thanks,
Matt

+1 on regex. Libraries readily available.

You're going to need to file a feature request with SageTV for this one. The best one could do is write a plugin to monitor your recording schedule and prevent recordings that match your keyword favourite, but don't match your desired regex. Though such a solution wouldn't be too much work to implement, it would be rather clunky as it would be constantly fiddling with your recording schedule and it's just not a great way to handle this kind of thing.

Feature requests that deal with the SageTV scheduler are usually best implemented in the core by SageTV - 3rd party plugins just don't have enough access via the public API to make these kinds of features happen seamlessly.

With that said, have you looked at the anti-favourites plugin? I personally haven't looked at it too closely, but it seems to me that it might be able to help with this kind of feature request. Not sure if it handles regex or not, but if it does then it might actually already do what you want.
