Mouse cursor disappears when SageTV is started

Hi,

I have a Intel Quad Core Mac 2009 . I installed the latest version of SageTV but once I start SageTV the mouse pointer disappears and I have no control over the screen. Please help.

I have a similar problem that the Bluetooth mouse on my Mac Pro freezes when SageTV Client or Placeshifter starts. The only workaround is to use Apple-Q to quit Sage & then the mouse becomes responsive again. This is a problem that I have seen before but I thought that Sage had fixed it. I rarely use Sage on my Mac Pro so have no idea with which version this problem got re-introduced. I am using OS X 10.6.2 & SageTV 6.6.2.

I got a reply from support on the freezing Bluetooth mouse & can confirm that it fixed the problem for me. So for anyone else who has this problem...

Edit the file in /Library/Preferences/tv.sage.SageTV.plist (just double
click on it).

Then select 'Root' and then click 'Add Child'. Give it the name
"EnableAppleIRListener" (without quotes); set the Type to be 'Number' and
set the Value to 0 (zero). Then save that file and it should fix the
problem.
