HD200 - Rebooting From Linux Command Line

I tried to use Shadeblue.com's (Thank you Shadeblue.com for the inspiration!) excellent sageextctrl.exe on my Linux SageTV server under Wine, it requires .NET and that wouldn't install.

I searched and found a script that automated a telnet connection, it happens to be written in Python. I hacked it to send the on, off and reboot commands to hd200's, it is named hd200extctrl.py and command line follows the sageextctrl.exe format, the command line is:

hd200extctrl.py <address> <function>

address can be an IP or a valid host name and function can be "on", "off" or "reboot".

Example: hd200extctrl.py 192.168.1.105 on

It is very dumb and doesn't do much in the way of editing the command line switches!

I am not a Python scripter, this is my first time seeing Python, it was just easier and quicker to plagiarize and hack, so if you see something that can be improved upon please do so but your on your own, very doubtful I can help any.

Edit 01/30/10 I was having trouble with this executing from cron, fixed.

Actually. scratch that. i figured out what i was trying to do.

I now have a lot of new problems... Does anyone know how to reinstall the drivers and or kernel in the hd200? Does the firmware install the actual linux kernel and busy box on the HD200?
