anyone using these WD 2tb av-gp green drives?

I'm looking to upgrade some components and I've been looking at these drives.

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=615

"These drives are designed to last in high temperature always-on streaming digital audio/video environments such as PVR/DVR, DVR recorders and surveillance video recorders. "

Any comments would be helpful..

cheers

I haven't seen the Western Digital 2TB model you found. What is the price?

I have 6 Western Digital WD20000CSRTL green drives, setup in 3 RAID 1 pairs, they are about $180 each. They run pretty cool. I did have one fail after a few days, which I returned for another.

I'm running several 1TB versions of those AV drives without issue. Honestly, I don't see a reason for spending the extra money, though. If they wind up outlasting the other drives, I guess I may change my mind.

If you are running WHS you might want to be careful purchasing any of the newer Caviar Green Drives. WD is using a new "advanced format" technology that has compatibility issues with WHS. Here is a link for more details.
