HVR-1600 & HVR-2250 - each missing diff channel

So I've had a decent ATSC setup since October/November 2009 with both an HVR-2250 and HVR-1600 connected to the same amplified coax run. The 2250 is dual tuner and the 1600 is single. They're running two different copies of the same channel lineup, so I can make changes to one of them without affecting the other.

I'm in the Toronto area and can tune Toronto and Buffalo area OTA broadcasts. Some 20-22 stations in fact. A couple of weeks ago I lost reception of one of the Toronto stations on the HVR-1600 (City-DT). On the HVR-2250 signal strength is about 100 and it works perfectly.

Last night during Heroes, the signal strength on the NBC affiliate dropped to around 30 on ONLY the HVR-2250. In fact it jumps around sometimes between 6 and 100 while in the preview window. With the signal floating around 30 Sage can keep an image on the screen, but you'll see regular artifacts and sound blips. Again, this is ONLY on the HVR-2250. The HVR-1600 is locked steady at 85 with perfect picture and audio.

I have tried a few tests and it's nothing to do with the cable run. I've swapped their coax connections with the exact same results. I've removed the splitter in the coax and tried the direct connection to each tuner, one at a time, same results.

The only thing that's changed on the system has been an update of the HVR-2250 drivers sometime last week. I've since rolled back to a version from July 2009 with the same results.

I recall this happening one other time last December with the same channel - it dropped off one tuner. However, at that time, restarting the system seemed to allow it to come back at full strength. At the moment I can't think of anything else other than it being defects/damage to the cards.

Anyone else see anything like this?

So no one has any HVR-1600 and/or HVR-2250 ATSC info to share?
