Are your HD200s crashing?

Sometimes I'll leave my HD200s paused on a show and come back later on to see them on the screen saver screen (default bouncy sage logo).

When i click to wake them up, i get a blank screen, then nothing. After pressing power, they boot again.

Similarly, i know i left my HD200 on last night, and this morning when i looked at my sagetv web interface, i saw it as paused on the show i was watching. Just logged in now for a peek, and it isn't on the list of visible devices anymore.

All units are upgraded to the latest firmware, sage is the latest stable build, etc.

If it makes a difference, i had it paused on a show in my media library, not on a sage tv recorded show. It was playing fine until i paused it....

is this just me?

Edit: Before anyone asks, the hd200 and all switches/router in the house are on UPSes.

I've never seen that although I don't use the screensaver. You might want to submit a bug report to SageTV

no crashing here, I am using the latest beta firmware I believe, updated last week, and I do use the screen saver.

I get this sometimes...
in my case if I go back and check my server, it rebooted for some reason or another... as far as I can tell not sage related... maybe HDHR driver... does it when it snows/rains mostly... doesn't seem to matter if the HDHR is recording anything though...

Server hasn't rebooted recently. Actually, that's one thing with sage, i've been looking for a good time when i'm not recording anything to do a reboot for system patches and run a chkdsk...

had half a switch go bad once... crappy smc or something... eventually all the ports stopped working... odd part was it seemed to work fine... couldn't track down the problem until later when it got much worse...
caused similar issues though...

yea, sage itself seems to be pretty stable...

I used to get that alot. I was maxing out my java heap size on the server and it would just look like the extender crashed. I just upped the java heap size setting and it fixed the problem. If you do a search for java heap size you will find alot of info on the subject.

I don't think it is java heap size, as it is only happening on that one unit.
That could theoretically be because the unit is different somehow:
1) it is connected through a different switch and cables
2) i usually only view videos from my medial library on it, not sage recordings..

anyone have any experience with leaving HD200s paused on imported media for long lengths of time?

Mine has crashed several times since I first hooked it up a few weeks ago. Sadly, it crashed so badly on the two occasions that I was try to demonstrate it to friends that I had to pull the power and plug it back in. Needless to say, this likely convinced them no to buy one . It has happened to me most often when I am switching between viewing online content and then switching to viewing a video in a shared folder.

Please note that I am using the current beta firmware. I switched to it from the production firmware because I could not get it to view online video at all with the production firmware. It would give me the listing, but gave me some type of error stating it could not find the video. This issue completely went away with the beta firmware.

I purchased the package with the HD200, but I have not installed it yet. I am using the HD200 in stand-alone mode.

Well then you should be posting these issues in the Media Player forum as this is for those who are running it as an extender which you are not at this point.
