Theming, how to set wallpapers?

I posted this in the centerstage thread, but I think that thread is archived.

I was trying to use different backgrounds for different screens. It seems doing this breaks those widgets on the sub screen. Specifically: time/date, info icons, and preview panel do not work. They do not appear. Yet the other elements work fine and all element work fine in the main screen.

So does anyone know how to set different wallpapers for screens and not break widgets? I was doing:

Background/Video=vid_bg.jpg
Background/Music=music_bg.jpg

and so forth. Is there another way? Thanks!

I seem to be doing a lot of talking to myself in this forum, is it always this quiet in here? Its only fair to post if someone else is having this issue. It would appear I was having 2 issues. The first, it seems you can't move elements around in the theme file or it breaks widgets somehow.

The second issue is different. I am trying to create an Aeon-like theme but setting elements in the theme file doesn't change backdrops on the home screen triggered by menu selection, does it? To make that work would require more much more complexity than writing XML elements or a simple script, is that correct? If not, could someone point me in the right direction? I swear I will share whatever I make.

I'm not sure how many people are actually using the theme files anymore. With fanart it may have become less popular.
