Was the sound in sync? Ive never got mirage to play sound and video in sync, sound is always half a second of so before the video!

That's the VLC streaming, so do you have VLC 1.0 installed on the SageTV server and in the default location on XP? If not, you will have to set it up...

I didn't have VLC installed I seen it install when I installed taSageTV, but I went and intalled it in the SageTV box and then opened the plugin and corrected the path to the VLC.exe

I have Windows x64 so my path was modified
from: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC

to: C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC

On the Asus Transformer, if I pause the video then I loose sound when I start playing again.
I have tried everything in the drop down list and the only thing that plays is Mirage

Updated to Ver 2.43
when I select the Live TV icon the Remote screen shows
when I select the Remote icon the Remote screen shows

Program crashes after selecting Program Guide
after entering server information this version wouldn't play even when Mirage was selected.
reinstalled ver 2.41

If you have the SageTV debugging enabled, after pressing the Stream button from TaSageTV, you should be able to look at the SageTV\SageTV\sagetv_0.txt log file and find the exact command line that was used to start the VLC streaming. You can copy it to a file (i.e. myStream.cmd), then from a command line play with it, to make sure VLC is starting properly, after that you could try running another VLC instance (ideally from a different PC on the network), opening the network flux that is displayed on the Information/About screen of TaSageTV.

Right, people need to contact the Mirage author for that, nothing I can do on my end...

As it should... If you are actually monitoring a SageTV client, it's the one that will launch LiveTV...

Right, I tried to simplify some things, but it had some unforeseen side effects.

Version 2.44

- Fix: Reverted some of the Program guide changes.
- Combined a few activities in a common one.

Is Mirage the only player that is to be used and that will show up in the list?

I found a player for the Transformer that will play my SageTV content it is MX Video Player then add the MX Video Player Codec (ARMv7) that allows me to pause and restart perfectly, but I haven't found out how to make it the default player, it seems to me that when installing another player you would be asked to have the ability to make default or be able to go into the settings and select make default.

For Mirage, it gets explicitly called... For the other methods, they should use whatever is available.

Kindle Fire?

I jumped on the bandwagon and pre-ordered a Kindle Fire. What's the odds that taSageTV will work on it?

There's no full Andriod market on the kindle fire, only the amazon market version. ALthough taSageTV isnt on either market at the moment of course.

However, we dont know if apk's can be loaded any other way then the market yet! The ability to do this will be required

I dont doubt loading apks from anywhere will be possible at some point, but maybe not immediately.

As it seems to be andriod 2.3 underneath Id expect no issues once its actually installed though.

It seems that side-loading apps on the Kindle Fire won't be a problem, so TaSageTV should run just fine.

I was just cleaning up some recordings and noticed that on the remote, the directional arrows on page 2 and page 3 do not work. The arrows around the Enter key on page 1 does work. However to delete a show I have to go to page 3, push the delete key, then go back to page 1 to arrow up or down.

Running v 2.45 on HTC Evo.

Thanks
George

Hmm, indeed having 3 sets of arrows labelled the same way was probably not a good idea. It worked fine for iOS, but that's using something a bit different.

Let me see if I need to add the 10 extra buttons on larger screens, and make them invisible, or if I can do something fancier...

Sorry to jump the gun here with a noob type question, but I haven't updated anything in about a year. Overwhelmed with v7, phoenix etc.

How well does this stream media/control sage across the internet? Read some stuff about delays?

How does this compare to VLC client that I tried on my Android?

How does this compare to the Sage Web Server Mobile Client? Will that stream to Android... seems unique to iOS?

Thanks

Now if I can just figure out how to make Phoenix hide watched shows and display icons.

Just got an HP Touchpad. It uses WebOS v3.0.2.

Any idea if there is a way to get to the SageTV recordings using it?

I've read through this thread and the one for Mobile Web Interface V2.

You should be able to use the Mobile Web Interface V2 for it, unless their web browser is doing some non standard stuff...

As for running TaSageTV, it will probably work fine once/if the Android port of the HP Touchpad gets a stable release...
