Question TV Explorer Imported TV Question

The TV Explorer mod says it can:

Displays imported TV (videos that are TV but are not part of the Sage recording DB) alongside recorded TV.

So I went and added an import directory using the detailed setup and set the type of media in this directory to "videos". The directory I added contained downloaded copies of a TV Program.

When I go into TV Explorer I can see recorded TV episodes, but I don't see any of the imported videos. So how do you make it show your downloaded\imported TV shows?

It "should" work. Did you recanned the import directories?

The "should" above is because I also have some shows that do no appear at all (for example, Sopranos Season 4 and 5 show but not the other Seasons), but that is only a small fraction most of them do show. Only issue may be how they are grouped but that also is not a biggie.

A sure way to get them to show for sure is to use BMT (you can also use Webserver but BMT is probably better, specially V4, for doing this) and check the "sage recording" box on each file, unless someone knows of a way to make all imported tv (excluding movies!) appear as recordings in one go.

Yeah, as soon as I added the new directory I did a rescan.

As you said the ideal would be a way to make all imported TV show up "excluding" my movie files.....maybe I'll try to use BMT to get it done...

You must use bmt as it will set the mediatype to tv. It will not work currently without bmt. You do not have to check it as import as recorded though.
