Sage Movie Wall (SMW) won't play video on server

Just finished installing SMW on my server and it works pretty well on the extender. Pretty slick, actually. However, for some reason, I cannot get any movies to play on the server (in the living room). I used to be able to from the original My Videos menu before installing SMW but when I select a movie in SMW, I can bring up the information at the bottom by clicking OK but that's it. I tried play, OK, enter, the play button on the keyboard, mouse clicks, etc ... nothing seems to initiate it playing. Anyone have any ideas. I tried changing the renderer to no avail as well.

Meanwhile, is there any way I can get back the old My Videos menu so the family can still access movies while I debug? I'm asking for something similar to the TVE options where it installed a separate menu instead of overwriting the original.

Also, on the reflection screen (before going to movie wall), am I supposed to be able to select movies from the row across the bottom?

I'm not sure about this but could you go into the SageMC settings and change the menu it goes to for the video library from Sage Moive Wall back to whatever the video menu is for SageMC? I think its called Videos.

Not as far as I know, I've never been able to. If you want to do something like that change the view in Sage Movie Wall to a different view, like Cover Wall.

Check your select function in the universal options of smw. If it is going into info then that is the option. Play should always work no matter...

There is no way to select the reflections covers they are just random posters for looks.

Add this snippit to your sagemc_menu.xml file outside of sage wherever you want SMW to be.... or follow the same directions for TVE inside sage... just choose Sage Movie Wall instead of TVExplorer as the menu item....

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried adding Video and Video library menus, but all of them send me to the SMW screen.

I have another question - hopefully an easy one. My "sortBy" filed is set to "File-System" as default (little green check mark in the box). This setting results in the blank black SMW screen. As a work-around, I can highlight "All Videos" before pressing OK, but that adds six more button presses to get to the wall. When I go back to the reflections screen "File-System" is still checked (and not All Videos). Can I make "All Videos" be the default? Then I could just press OK at the reflections screen. Where are all these properties stored?

ChAnge it from within the wall not the homepage to change the default.

The menu issue is probably because you changed the default screen settings in sagemc.

Yeah You won't regret that one If you use to use mymovies on WMC keep on eye out for my next import for mymovies. I left WMC about a year ago and haven't regreted it yet.
