Can HD200 Control All Functions of the SageTV Server?

After several hours of searching and reading I'm still unclear on one key issue. Can the HD200 (perhaps with a USB keyboard) control all the functions of the SageTV server? What I am wanting to do is put the noisy server computer in a basement closet. Will I be able to control all the important SageTV functions including scheduling recordings, trimming commercials, control the server's DVB-S2 and ATSC tuner cards, etc. from the comfort of my living room using the HD200 interface?

Thanks for helping a noob.

Basically yes if you run it in extender mode (and not stand alone mode). You'll have a on screen GUI that allows you to control just about all aspects of the sage server. You can also add in STVs and other addons to the extender GUI.

There might be an addin that doesn't work, but I am not aware of any. However, I'm not sure exactly how the commercial trimming works. If you are simply talking about Comskip or another commercial detection addin, then those work just fine via the extenders. If it is a different add in that actually cuts and modifies the original show, I'm not sure how those work.

Thanks. That was the only thing holding me back. I'm putting my order in.

Remember, even if your server is in a closet you can connect via RDP or VNC and do any other admin that can't be done via the HD200 (Obviously needs a laptop )
