Plugin:: Serenity Theme for SageTV V7

This theme is available in the Themes area of the plugin manager.

Serenity V7 Version 1.0 is now available. See the second post for pics.

Notes:

1) The install from the plugin manager installs the Theme, but doesn't select it. Eventually the plugin manager will prompt you if you want to install the new theme, but until then goto :

Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Advanced -> Select the User Interface Theme

to bring up the list of Theme's that are installed and select Serenity V7 from there.

1a) If you are upgrading from a previous version of Serenity, you might have better luck if you select the default Theme before doing the upgrade. In either case you will need to reselect the Serenity V7 theme from the location noted above after you upgrade.

2) If you see any weirdness after selecting the theme, try restarting Sage to clear any cached images from old themes or the older version of Serenity.

I have ?'s/ problems. When I hit the menu button on the remote it returns me to the SageMC menu. Is there a easy answer?

OK, this is now fixed. I had to load the default STV and now all is good except for my HD-PVR.

v0.2 broke the theme. The notes say updated a few more button assets to serenity orange. Now I don't have any select cursor on my HD200 in the plug-in manager or detailed setup. There may be more areas, but didn't have time to navigate blindly to check it out.

This bring up my first problem with the plug-in manager, which is I have no way of returning to v0.1 right now and have to revert back to the default theme.

You need to restart the Sage Service on your server. I reported this bug to Sage, but they didn't believe me. I'm glad you are having trouble - means I'm not crazy.

But a restart should clear it up - the cached images need to get flushed. Also make sure you re-apply Serenity (I'm assuming you already did) - the core doesn't do this automatically yet.

It is just backgrounds and the highlighter is changed from grey to orange.

It's just backgrounds like PLUCKY said. A full on theme is coming, the main change is a move away from the PVC piping that the default UI uses as borders.

After installing the theme then switching back I noticed that the only other option for a default theme to switch back to was Standard SDTV theme. I am pretty sure it was set to a theme that said 1080p in it before switching to Serenity.

In V6 there were 2 extra options of HD720 and HD1080 (or something similarly named) but I noticed that in v7 there's just the one option.

I don't know if it makes any difference or not as all my screens look fine with it.

Also thanks for this theme, I just spent a couple of hours looking for background pics and came nowhere close to getting ones as nice as these.
