whoa, wait? Win7MC cant stream blu ray to extenders?

So Hauppauge finally released drivers for the HDPVR with native support for Win7 Media Center...so for a brief second I started considering the switch, I was willing to accept the beta pain all over again in exhcange for some media browser eye candy when I realized there are quite a few posts on greenbutton.com that say streaming ripped blu ray to an xbox360 is either impossible or buggy!?

I switched to MCE to try out while waiting for Sage7. I love media browser but there are a bunch of other little things missing that will make me switch back.

DRM issues aside it absolutely boggles my mind how MSFT can afford to ignore not only streaming blu ray but it seems high bit rate video and audio in general just doesn't play well with extenders. And for me, DIY and even OEM HTPCs to some extent just make no sense at all without extenders simply because going through all the setup/drama/cost just for one TV when there are plenty of plug 'n play options out there now (Boxee box, apple tv, blu ray players w/ online content, wd tv live, popcornhour/box, consoles, etc). The only trump card in my mind that gives people just cause for building a HTPC for a single TV these days is commercial skipping, other than that, a decent DVR, less than $300 thrown at a device I mentioned above and a good universal remote will fit the bill in 99% of situations.

/end rant

Kinda curious to see how/if windows 7 embedded may or may not turn into extenders with media center, assuming they dont squander that opportunity as well...
