Die Hard II Shut me down

I have a Blu-Ray copy of Die Hard II on my SageTV 7 Server import list. This weekend my wife started the movie on one of my HD-200 units. About 5 minutes into the movie the HD-200 shut off. It could not be restarted as everytime the power button was pressed on the remote, the red light came on for a few seconds and immeiately shut off again. Very strange, a new problem I never experienced before.

So, I went to another TV in the house which also had an HD-200 and experienced exactly the same problem. Both HD-200 units could be recovered by pulling their power plug and re-inserting it after a few seconds.

I never had this issue on version 6, but I also never played this movie (that I recall) on version 6.0. Has anyone else experienced this issue or has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this???

I don't have any HD-200's, but I have some media files that will immediately crash V7 by simply selecting the folder they're located in while browsing my media files.

You may want to try re-ripping the disc to see if that fixes the issue. I have had incomplete rips cause issues in the past because of unexpected errors. If this is a bug that's reproducible you may want to turn on debug and submit it to Sage.

Thumbs up Should be fixed now

They fixed this in the 20101209-0 beta firmware for the HD300 extender. To get it, boot into the extender in standalone mode, go to Settings, System Update, type 2382 (numeric equivalent of BETA) and it should now say "Update Beta Firmware", and Check for Updates to get the latest.

Thumbs down

I have this exact same problem with Batman - The Movie (Blu-ray). My 6 year old loves this old Batman movie. Halfway through the movie both of my HD-200's power off. He is very upset.

I hope Sage can get this fixed for the HD-200. I also use Native Resolution Switching & get the pink screen more often than not. They definitly have problems with the latest firmware for this unit.

Me too. I've had it happen twice now up to an hour into playing music, only thing that revives it is a hard power cycle. Never experienced this in several years of using v6.

Hmm. You might want to contact Sage about it for the HD200, that's what I did for the HD300. My problem was it would consistently turn off at the same point of the movie for a few different movies on my HD300. With the same everything else, I traded in my old HD200 and they would play through ok. With the firmware update for the HD300 everything seems ok on it now.

Oh yeah, as a temporary work around, with mine, I was able to fast forward through the bad spots in the movies.
