SlingBox Remote Setup: Closest Thing To HD200's Remote?

Went to the local Best Buy and layed down $150 for a SlingBox solo.

Pretty slick, but how does one get past the SlingBox setup's request to choose device when it shows "No models available" for Sage TV?

viz: http://tinyurl.com/24xm2m8

This seems like it might be on Sage to supply the info to Sling -- since other remotes' images are accompanied by fine print like "Copyright DirecTV Inc..." -- and, for some reason, Sage has chosen not to.

That being the case, it seems like one needs to try http://betaremotes.slingbox.com/ - which seems to create a .irz file by training - using the remote one has at hand.

Got as far as training it... Now I'm trying to figure out how to make SlingPlayer use it.

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dl...e&file_id=8548 seems to be the key - that and knowing to download/install the desktop version of SlingPlayer (as opposed to the IE add-in).

It looks like AlanRichey has already created a custom remote, downloadable from http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dl...e&file_id=8548
