HDHomeRun 2 tuner $90 today only woot.com

www.woot.com has the HDHomeRun 2 tuner for $89.99 shipped. It is today only and only until they run out of stock. "Today" ends at 23:59 Central time 7/30/2010.

I'm not affiliated in any way with woot, just trying to pass along a deal that I jumped on myself.

I'm unsure if this is an "ok" post as it says "no for sale" but also says "deals at retail stores". So, if it's not allowed, I'm sorry mods. If it is allowed, I'm glad I could share what seems like a good deal to me.

I don't think it is against forum policy to post deals on the internet. I think it's against policy to sell SageTV licenses or personal stuffs to other users on the forum.

I'm guessing you are referring to the woot.com deal.

yes I was, and I re-posted it after reading further. It's kinda vague, but I fell that person to person sales is what is suggested to be against policy, not store-person sales.

Getting today's woot!

Hi all

Today's woot (www.woot.com) seems like a good deal.

SiliconDust HDHomeRun Network-Based Dual Digital HDTV Tuner
$84.99* + $5 shipping

Condition: New
Product: 1 SiliconDust HDHomeRun Network-Based Dual Digital HDTV Tuner - HDHR-US

I'm going to grab it now, as old forum posts seem to indicate this is a good product, and the internets seem to indicate that it is a bit more than half its usual price.

Thought you all might like to know.

Someone please let me know if this thing is a POS these days so i can be ready to ebay it.

it is a very good ATSC OTA dual tuner. Especially good if you are quite a ways form the towers, as it has very good sensitivity. Plus, the ability to locate it closer to your antenna drop helps as well. It is also a good ClearQAM tuner, but the problems here are that ClearQAM is pretty much going away, so you might as well just try OTA.
