Editing Aspect Ratio mode

EDIT: I figured it out. For anyone who might also not have understood the settings at first, I'll share what I did to remove the CC line at top.

On a playing video, I went to options > aspect ratio. I created a new copy of "source" and bumped the Vertical size down a bit. I had it in my head that it would need to be pushed up, which resulted in my confusion. All looks great now.

In v7 the old Closed Caption line is back for me on SD QAM recordings. I see the options have changed alot, and that one goes to the Options menu on a playing video to make changes.

I can't seem to figure it out! I made a copy of SOURCE, but can't seem to make an impact on stretching it...the changes don't seem to do anything.

I assume I'm just taking the wrong step here. Does anyone know specifically what change I should be making? I'm using an extender.
