Hwy my wife and kids are going to be gone next week and I'll be stuck at home recovering from knee surgery. It would be the perfect time for me to put in Phoenix and work out all the kinks before they get back. Hint, hint.

What's with the knee surgeries? Someone else was just saying they were going to be out for one too... I hope your surgery/recovery goes well. I blew my achilles last year and that was no good

That's funny. I just had my knee done last Friday to repair a torn meniscus. But I was back to work by Monday. No rest for the weak kneed.

Talk about coincidences. I guess with such a large community, this would be expected, though. My wife has been battling knee pain for a couple years now and after multiple round of physical therapy, a new doctor just started her on cortisone shots. She got her first one today. If that doesn't help, then it's time for surgery.

I put mine off for several years by trying PT, cortisone, and a couple other types of injections. None of that helped. I finally found a surgeon who knew what the problem was based on who operated on it eight years ago it felt great the day after the surgery, but I can't go back to work until I see the surgeon again next week.

Shame I can't see the private forum you guys have as I've got a couple of suggestions for you but I guess they can wait till you go public.
Speaking of which... Check your email...

EDIT: Forgot to ask if you guys are modifying the music ui more than the playback screen. Looks nice so far. Can't wait to see what you guys have done.

Future?

Any thoughts on the future of Phoenix with the goggle bomb that dropped yesterday?

Sean, to me that means google has bought sagetv and has done so with Phoenix as the main ui in mind, so I think the new sagetv will be Phoenix driven!

nothing against phoenix but I doubt googles' purchase had to do with any third party apps. So I hope you were joking.

One last tease.....

I'm running the load that we are releasing to public beta. Once I'm happy (and I'm generally pretty happy) you'll see something new in the 'Full UI' section of the plugin manager.

btl.

You mean this one?

This is our video thumbnail navigation OSD (a la Netflix on Roku or Wii). You press the Up arrow while watching a video, playback pauses and the video thumbnail OSD pops up. The thumbnails default to 10 sec apart, but the interval is configurable. You just scroll left/right through the thumbnails and hit select to jump to that location and resume playback. The red indicator in the time bar marks the location of the currently highlighted thumbnail. Works great on my HD300.

Only works for non-DVD/Blu-ray content.

Nope.

Different developers, different project, different vision.

Where did your screen shot go? It's not showing...
