Theme/STV Fonts

I would like to change some of the fonts in a theme I am working on via the theme.properties file. Is there a list of the "safest" most common fonts availible that would cover the various OS's, systems, etc... that Sagetv currently runs on?

I don't want to pick something that will be availible to some users but not others.

Also, if my theme sets the parent theme to "standard" and the font specified in my theme is unavailible would it default to the font set in the "standard" theme.properties file?

Any info regarding fonts and themes and where they need to be stored to access in Sagetv would be helpful.

I don't know that there are any 'safe' fonts that could be counted on to be on every system.

I was told that if the font name doesn't reference a TTF file, then SageTV will let Java load the font, and that always resolves to something.

And, you could provide the TTF file yourself and reference that font file in your theme -- and the font path is relative to the folder where the SageTV exe is located, not where the STV is.
