MyMovies Image folders DO NOT MATCH SMM Extender Image Folders?

What is the quickest way to ensure the MyMovies Covers and Backdrops as also in the SMM Covers and Backdrops folders?

I have noticed I have ALL in the MyMovies folders but not all under SMM Extenders directory?

This is all automatic process and not all the images need to be transfered the extenders and desktop folders are not to be changed manually.

If we have accidentally deleted some of the JPGS will a MyMovies and SMM Database and Datafile refresh sort it out automatically?

I noticed that where the extender folders were out of sync with the MyMovies folders, the backdrops were not appearing in SMM.

If you deleted some a library refresh (not database rebuild I guess I need to remove that option altogether because people are overusing/misusing it causing issues).

anwways a library refresh (sage default) will handle it if you want to be extra safe you could delete the extender folder altogether and that will give you a reference that it is recreating.

Thanks.

Being an ex-SQL Server DBA I would be interested in what you mean by overuse of the Database rebuild. I have only done this twice mainly due to issues in moving my movie collection from one directory to a NAS.

Well the Database rebuild in SMM is not SQL database it is just a linear db file I keep of all the custom java objects I build for SMM so I don't have to keep rebuilding them all the time or keep quering the sql database. It can be a time consuming process to rebuild it constantly and usually isn't needed unless you do something like what you did. Allot times people are rebuilding them while a scan is in progress which will now just kick it back and do nothing (i don't allow more than one database process to occur at a time to avoid db errors.

I DELETED the Extender folder and refreshed the database.

All the covers were rebuilt perfectly but I only have ONE backdrop (for the movie CARS).

I have noticed that in the MyMoviesIDList.properties file a lot of the movies are =NULL rather than the ID you would expect?

All movies show in cover form and play perfectly just no backdrops and no genre backdrops even though I have downloaded them.

Whats your mymovies point level?

You bakdrops for genres have to not be stored correctly if you are not seeing them or you don't have fanart on in the genre view.
