HD300 + Sage MyMovies

What are the limitations to running this on an hd300?

Any way we could get a video of sage mymovies running on the hd300 so we can see responsiveness.

No limitations works just like it does on other extenders although faster of course.

I will shoot a YouTube video on my iPhone later and upload it so you can see how mine responds.

We may already have. Apparently Plucky has had an HD300 in his paws for some time.

Indeed he has... I found it very responsive on the HD300. Though it helps to have the collections server running on a fast machine.

Sounds great.

My hd 100 died a year ago but with mymovies and the hd300 it might be time to get back into the extender game.

I promise the extenders can't touch those videos those are all client pc videos. The hd300 is plenty fast to me but doesn't hold a candle to those.

That's why I don't regret spending the money on my i3 client. However, the HD-300 coming out 2 months ago would have made my decision much more difficult.

That's got to draw a lot more power... but I'm sure you know that.

it's not too bad you can get them down to around 30w from what I have seen. The biggest issue for me is getting hd audio to work out of the pc.

It draws less than you'd think. All the i3 client has in it is the motherboard, cpu, ram and an ssd. That's it. I'll see if I can find my power consumption meter.

Found this graph. Basically what I'm seeing.

I looked. With an ati 5750 (i think) it was about 30w. Without I would expect it to be much lower.
