Placeshifter - Selective Content?

I'm pretty sure this is impossible given how Placeshifter works, but would it be possible to specify folders /drives /file types available to display only that content? I do like having full menus on DVD's while at home, but don't want to see them on the road since they don't play nice with Placeshifter.

A solution I've been toying with is building a separate mini server used for Placeshifter only - it would map to directories including playable videos /music /photos and maybe have a routine to transcode DVD's in Placeshifter-friendly format all on this box to not tax or clutter the server. The drawback is that I would lose the tuners, unless I want to double-up, and seems a little overkill. I guess maybe with the new Sage 7 menus, this is a little less of an issue. Any suggestions?

Well one simple option there is to select the "Videos" menu instead of the "DVDs" menu (or Folder), this works for 6 or 7.
