HD300 is ready for preorders

Now that the cost of overseas shipping is a little more palatable I just ordered an HD300 but was disappointed when I went to checkout to discover that they are already out of stock. I guess that 3-4 months of pent-up demand for any SageTV Extender has exhausted the initial delivery. Ah well what's another week after all this time?

We are currently taking pre-orders for the HD300. The estimated arrival date of our shipment is September 10th, 2010. After we receive them we will start shipping them out within 2 business days.

Just guessing here - Since the HD300 was never in stock and has always been a pre-order, it could not have been out of stock. Therefore, your title was corrected to quash any alarms.

It had nothing to do with marketing; it had to do with your incorrect title & post saying that the initial shipment was already sold out. The HD300 is available for preordering and the store page has said that since it was first publicly announced. I corrected the topic's title so it wouldn't mislead others, but didn't bother replying initially because the first reply to your post already corrected the info.

I'm glad that I'm not the only impulsive one. I've ordered an HD300 that I do need; but I also went on ebay to check out HD200 sales and was holding on to one for $31 ($40 max), even though I didn't need it (my HD100 is doing just fine). Finally, someone outbid me and I actually felt relieved that the person who outbid me kept me from doing something dumb. Not that $40 is a lot; but why do we do these impulsive things? I'm certain it's contageous; and I should not be on this forum. Oh well, there are worse addictions.

My apologies, I hadn't realised that with all the razzamatazz of the September 1st announcement that they weren't actually shipping yet as others were posting on other threads that they had either received their HD300s or expected them to be delivered in 2 days time. Having now reviewed those other posts I see that there were people who had beta units boasting of their good fortune & others who had not read the small print that when we paid that the HD300s were not actually in stock but would be shipped within 2 business days of the units arriving in the US. All things being equal this should be 10th September i.e. next week.
