HD200 and badly made videos

Hi all

I've got some videos that i'm guessing aren't terminated properly. They play fine, but if i let them run all the way to the end, the hd200 screetches, crashes and resets.
Sometimes it comes right back up after resetting, sometimes i need to pull the plug and wait a bit.

The sage server is not affected in any way. The videos play fine in VLC.

Anyone else seen this? Not a big deal, i can either run them through ffmpeg -sameq or just stop them before the end -- just wondering if it is a known bug.

There was an issue fixed with mkv in the latest beta firmware. If you are already using it please submit a bug report.

I don't think the file was an MKV, but indeed i'm not using the beta. I'll give it a shot.

Indeed they were mkv files and upgrading to beta took care of it.

thanks

If I encounter this issue with an HD200 and I'm running the current version of Sage Server V6, should I do the Beta Firmware on the HD200?

If so, how do I get to the Beta Firmware.
Know I've seen it before but can't find it now.

click that and read a bit, it'll tell you something to the effect of:
boot in media mode (not connected to a server mode)
go to updates
punch in the beta code (beta spelled out on a phone)
then the update will pop up.
