I think it's the fact it is in the theme section people would install it regardless

We can't do it the other way around because if we made the theme dependent on the ui mod the ui mod wouldn't get imported. The theme already doesn't automatically load but we fixed that with ui code. Sage is aware of both these issues anyhow.

Works good so far. Only issue I see is that in SMM, the background image that is displayed if no fanart is found, is showing through my fanart.

Adjust your fanart fade in the smm options

anything in SMM is unrelated to this plugin.

you can change the custom- background fade delay to full 255 and that will make the background image 100% and obscure the stock background image.

Two questions/suggestions on the recordings screen.

1. When you have a group of recordings is there a way to disable the numbering of the recordings since it has no meaning?

2. Is there a way to turn down the opacity of the black background to make it easier to see the fanart?

i too would like an idea about this...love the fanart in the background but it isn't quite clear...maybe a case of you can't have your cake and eat it too...we get spoiled by the backgrounds in SMM as clear as they are but in that case there isn't quite so much information on the screen...as there is on the recording views

Hmm that would be possible maybe easer to make a new subtheme with a lighter panel/panels

Log it and we might look at it.

Numbering Removal - we were trying to not do anything too too specific so that other users could code their own mods to and they would work on the default themes and the diamond ones. As soon as we start making major changes to the default stv then all the other plugins break like you see with the Hide Volume on the OSD plugin.

You can lighten up the default BG panel by adjusting the following in the theme.properties,

NumberIntAlpha/gAlphaCenterBGWithBorder=255

Reduce to make the BG more transparent.

EDIT - I will add a lighter sub theme with the next version.

Cheers,

Jeremy

That was it. I adjusted the background fade rather than poster fade. Thanks

Thanks for the tip on the opacity. On the numbering I was actually thinking there must be a way in the base settings for Sage, but I can't find it. If there isn't then maybe I'll just do a hopefully quick plugin for that myself.

Do you mean the watched/total show count in the recording listing?

No I mean the numbers to the right. (1. A Birthday Story (2010) ...)

I'd rather see the season/episode numbers there.

Sorry a bit slow today...

Not sure why they are just there either, they aren't listed with numbers on the subsequent "Recordins of xxxxx" screen where they all get listed in detail.

If you write it post it

How does one get the "time bar" to show up on the recording thumbnail that I've seen in various screenshots (the green/gray bar that shows current viewing location and I guess commercial breaks)? Does this require a commercial skipping plugin? If so, is there a way to get it without it since I don't use commercial skipping? Thanks.

That is the Comskip Playback plugin displaying the timeline/markers and the Commerical Detector plugin doing the commercial marking and adding some extra comskip bling.

The Comskip plugin has options to show the time bar and comskip icons in various places in the Recording screens (listing, group, details etc...)

I think if the generated comskip files are not present the recordings would just display the all green time line.

It's pretty automatic once you have it up and running and I have had a really good experience using the Commercial Detector (running Showanalyzer) taking care of the monitoring and triggering of the marking. See the Commercial Detector forum for more details.

I've got an import that takes away the numbers. It took a long time to find the right place and I haven't checked if it removes numbers on other screens yet. I've run out of time tonight, but tomorrow I'll work on getting the season/episode added and then publish it.
