Hauppauge Blaster Delay Problem

I have a HD PVR using the built in blaster and a motorola dct 2224

there is a 8-10 sec delay between each number sent to the STB via the blaster using the defaut entries.

ive played with the delays in the advanced config, but no values entered change the delay at all. As well ive changed values in sage sources tuner control, which is set to hauppauge ir blaster, also without any changes

using some of the other motorola code sets I am able to get 2 digits entered within 1 second of each other, but the 3rd digit is entered following the same 8-10 sec delay.

any thoughts ?

Did you have the irremote.ini setup by using the Blaster Cfg program that comes with the HD-PVR. I had to use that program to get the blaster to control the Dish Network VIP receiver. I have been getting consistent channel entry from the blaster.

I did notice that eventually the HD-PVR built in blaster would become unresponsive over time though. I then started using eventghost to reload the blaster control file each day at 3am and it has been acting well since.

Does your problem get worse over time or is consistently this way?

I had the blaster working correctly at one point, but I was having problems with usb on the server I was using (lockups).

I now have installed a usb 3 card and am trying it once more, and have not been able to get the the blaster to work correctly.

I am now in the process of using hcwclear to remove all hauppauge drivers and apps to start anew.

what drivers are everyone using to control the hd-pvr nowadays? Just the most current ones? or are some older drivers proving more stable/compatible?

well, plugging it into one of the usb ports on the mobo has the numbers entering properly via blaster config program.

any ideas why the usb3 card is so slow sending the blaster commands, and/or how to fix it ?
