Placeshifter crashes after reboot

... and now it won't start up at all! It displays the usual "select server" window and either crashes right away or waits for me to click on the window before it crashes.

What am I doing wrong?
Running the latest betas of version 7...

Edit: Oh, and I have an error log.

That's a crash within the core of Java itself. I'd try upgrading the version of the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) you have installed.

I tried that, and I am and was running version 6.22.

But I'll try to reinstall it.

Windows had "secretly" installed new NVIDIA-drivers. Downgraded, and Placeshifter works again.

Found that out the hard way before. Never, NEVER let Windows update ANY of your hardware drivers with Microsoft drivers. Always update from the manufacturer/vendor of the device. Make sure your Windows update is only set for critical and security updates, if at all. Or manually update.

Well, I downloaded the new update from nVIDIA too, just to check. And the same thing happened, I had to downgrade again.

So it's looks like java and that particular driver isn't playing nice...

Well I know you're not the only one running nVidia drivers and java for Sage 7. Are you sure you have tweaked the codec priorities, set it to use a different splitter or some other customization? You're selecting the actual video decoder to use and not leaving at at default? Or have you tried default? How many different video decoders do you have installed? Arcsoft, ffdshow, powerDVD, MS ? Is hardware acceleration enabled? Are you using EVR for Sage7?

I'm not sure where to start answering.

The placeshifter wouldn't connect at all to the server, it wouldn't give me a chance. It just displayed the first dialogbox (you know, this window) and then crashes 0.1 second later.

I have ffdshow installed. And hardware accelleration is turned on, as far as I know (where to check that?).
