HDMI "Disconnected" in Standby - HD300

I had an HD200 hooked up to an LCD monitor via HDMI for video with analog audio output. This worked perfectly such that when I put the HD200 into standby, the monitor would also go into standby and then turn on again with the HD200. I replaced the HD200 with an HD300 and the problem now is that when I put the HD300 into standby the monitor reports that the "cable is disconnected" and the monitor shows this message until I turn the HD300 back on and will not go into standby. Is there any way to get the HD200 behavior or will the HD300 hardware not allow it? Thanks.

Were you ever able to get working? I am thinking of buying an HD300 for the bedroom and I'd like to use it with an LCD monitor. However, the monitor will need to go into standby when I put the HD300 in standby.

I just read here that with the HD200 if you used a DVI to HDMI cable the monitor will automatically go to standby. Does anyone know if this is still the case with the HD300?

Yes, this is what I did to solve the problem with the HD300. I also have a different monitor that works fine with the HDMI output as is (it seems to be monitor-specific).
