Disable Background Commentary for the blind

On some of my recordings (e.g., Caillou on PBS) I am getting commentary for the blind in the background along with the regular audio. Is there a way to turn this off? Some recordings are affected and some aren't.

What type of recording capture device are you using?

I know there is a setting on my satellite receiver to enable/disable this, but it may be different if you are using straight digital capture (ASTC OTA, QAM, HD Home Run, etc) without a set top box from your cable or satellite company.

I use a Prof 7301 PCI card to receive PBS off the satellite. I can't find any way to select or disable the second audio program through this device. This is the same device I've been using all along and some of the recordings don't have this background commentary, although it's the same show.

Dont know about your tuner, but I have a similar problem with my Nova-T occaisionally. I get the commentary track.

For some reason thse recordings seem to have two audio tracks and sageTV selects to play the wrong one.

Just changing to the other audio track from the options menu while playing fixes this for me.

Yes! That solved it for me. I wasn't aware that I could select audio tracks from the option menu while playing. Many thanks!
