comskip error 1069 with installing on win 7

Please help before i throw my computer through the window...

Sorry about the title supposed to be error 1067

I am running sageTV 6(latest) and sagemc...
I had comskip working but at some point a few months ago it mysteriously stopped working.

I dont know exactly what I may have installed or uninstalled at that time because i didnt notice the commercials were not being skipped immediately. So now I am trying to reinstall it and i get errors with running the .bat file

Here is the output

java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/lang/Object
The Comskip Monitor service is starting.
The Comskip Monitor service could not be started.

A system error has occurred.

System error 1067 has occurred.

The process terminated unexpectedly.

Any ideas what the problem is?

I upgraded java and it is latest version....

That's a Comskip Monitor error, not a Comskip error. I never did figure out the reason but it could have been related to the version of java. I use DirMon instead of comskip monitor. Or use a Sage v7 plugin that runs comksip by tmiranda.

I had the same error after updating to Java 7 update 9, and doing the 2010 VB runtimes install to fix it with SageTV found on the second page of this post about the JRE updates. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40521

So after getting SageTV and the service all working, my Comskip Monitor wouldn't start. Gave that "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly." when trying to get it to start from the Services control panel in XP.

I'm not sure I really did anything, but it started working again after I reran the setup.bat file from my Comskip folder. I was only doing it to check to make sure all my recording directories were properly set, and didn't even make any changes. But after that, Comskip Monitor was able to run again without the Error coming up.

Hope that helps someone else out with the headache I was having.

I've always been happier with DirMon2 than any other launcher for comskip. It just works, all the time, every time.
