SageMC 7 and Blu-ray Playback

With the SageTV 7 default STV a blu-ray disk can be played back directly from a drive which is on the import video location list.

Within SageTV 7 STV I can find and play the movie.

However, move to play back does not seem to appear with SageMC Videos.
Is there a way to expose this to the SageMC plugin?

I tried to play Toy Story 2 directly from the BD drive and faced 3 problems:

1) It started playing the French version of the film (text is in french)
2) There does not seem to be a way to access the bluray menu

3) The movie plays very slowly -- is this because my blu-ray reader is very old?

Audio track is "#1 eng DTS-MA 5.1"

Help please.

Ok - #1 and #2 appear to be an issue with SageMC not exposing the menu items that are available in SageTV 7 STV.

Problems #1 & #2 are due to SageMC:

SageMC does not expose the new BD playback menu options (i.e. BD Title Select, BD Next Chapter etc...) that are present in the SageTV 7 STV.

Is there a way to update SageMC to support these?

Funny, I JUST noticed the text on the Toy Story (1) BluRay tonight. There are multiple playlists on the disc that determine what language text to show on the screen (it appears to only be the credits - at least so far). You can choose what Playlist to play by bringing up the options menu, and choose BD Title Select or something like that. This will present you a list of all the Playlists on the disc... some 175 or so more than likely. There's no descriptions of them, byt there are probably only 3 on there that are movie length (these would be the english, french, and spanish versions). As you've noticed, this is a separate thing than the audio tracks...

Huh.. just noticed that it was already mentioned that SageMC doesn't have these... I'm not guessing they will be added though - best bet would be to either rip the main movies (making sure you rip the right playlist), or move to modern times and use v7.. :-)

Yes, that's what I discovered. However, the issue I am facing now is:

So unless I go to the SageTV 7 STV I cannot access any of the functionality

Not to go on a rant -- but the simplicity of the SageMC interface is great. I want to keep it....
Perhaps someone will update the SageMC plugin to add a little more functionality?

Another reason to use the default STV. Anything based on the older STV such as SageMC doesn't access many of the new features unless someone overhauls SageMC which isn't going to happen.
