Sort videos by date added?

Is there any way to sort imported videos/dvd's by date added? SageMC was able to do this and sometimes I even revert back to SageMC just to see a list sorted in that way.

If not, can any one build a plug-in to do this?

TV Browser does this for TV.

If you use the Dimond plugin, then check out the Flow view for videos. You can hit the options button when in the "Dimond Flow" view and then select sorting by date. That should work for getting the date added.

I'm still looking for more help on this. I am using the Diamond plugin but in wall view when I try to sort by date it doesn't always seem to sort properly.. I'd really like to be able to do this in the standard Title view. Any other thoughts?

Diamond sorts correctly by date added so not sure what issue you are having.

Well, I am having problems with it unortunately. I just spent some time testing it again to try to figure out what's going. I went back to the SageMC STV too to test the "Date Added" view to check the sort order. I get different results. Perhaps the two methods key on different date attributes?

For instance, I'll attach two screenshots, one using the default STV with Diamond Wall sorted by newest first, and the other from SageMC using Date Added view. There are some similarities in the results but many differences. The SageMC view is indeed correct in terms of what I recently added. But the Diamond Wall view has some correct videos but also many very old ones. Pilates, Nanny McPhee, The Class, Knight and Day, are the most recent videos. But Coraline, the Hurt Locker, Willy Wonka, and others are all quite old.

Further, Diamond Flow inserts Che and Surrogates in the #1 and #2 positions, both of which are also quite old. They don't show up in the Diamond Wall view.

Can I see what sort you have selected in diamond? both views are independent.

Diamond has some bugs with the sorting based on date added and on the released date that we talked about In the diamond forum. I thought I put in a bug on the google code page too. But as of now they don't work work correctly.

I am not aware of any bugs on date added other than the wording. There was a bug on release date but not date added that I am aware of or remember of course we have changed and coded so much I could have forgot. Thing to remember is if you remove and readd a directory the date added changes as it is date added to te database not date added to the computer.

So how come when I switch to SageMC I get the right results?
