Feature Request: Sort by Original Air Date

I would love to have the feature to sort shows by original air date. This would be particularly good when you are just getting into shows that are in re-run. I am recording Dr. Who, and short of printing out the episode list, I have to manually go and look at the air date.

You're in luck! That's been a feature for as long as I can remember. I'm guessing you're using the default UI. On the recordings screen one of the buttons has an A/Z, with a down arrow. Select that button to change the sorting options. One of the options is to sort by original air date.

Before posting a feature request, consider looking in the PDF manual for existing features. Page 37 in the "SageTV Recordings" section lists the "Sorting Options", including "Orig. Air Date". If the recording details has no original air date info, then sorting that way won't do much.

If you aren't using the default STV, then post the suggestion in the appropriate customizations area.

I thought it was funny when sorting by air date, and anything without a date sorted as 12/31/1969 which of course is the start of the unix(c, java) date
