I think they're both redundant.... you can see if its been comskipped by looked at the timeline... why do i need a special icon to tell me that?

Correct me if I'm wrong but when you install the comskip play plugin it has the "CS" and the CS with a red cicle and the diagonal line thru it installed. You can set to use those in the options of comskip. They show up in the default SageTV 7 interface in various places.

You may see them as fugly, but at least they're themeable and can be enabled/disabled to suit individual tastes.

It's OK, I didn't take offense. I don't use the icons either.

FWIW, the ones that are displayed in the Main Menu header are put there by the Commercial Detector UI mod.

Also, I agree with some of the others that you really shouldn't need an icon for items without comskip. No icon = no comskip. Also, I have attached a proposal for the icon. I don't think it is quite as intuitive as Fuzzy's, but more 'readable' from a distance.

You didn't like my "Fuzzy-Diamond" hybrid?

Actually, yes, I do like that one a lot. It will show up better. My only thought with yours is that it kind of looks like a battery indicator right now. I am not sure what you do to fix that. Maybe make the green sections noticeably wider than the blue section. The skinniness of Fuzzy's made it look more like a time line, but made it less readable.
A second look at my icon and it looks like the icon for jumping over pine trees in the forest. I was trying to think outside of the box a little.
