Graphedit Wont Open .TS File From Recorded TV

I know this isn't a SageTV problem, but I'm trying to chase down some audio weirdness in Sage.

For some reason on our Win7/Sage7 HTPC neither GraphEdit nor Graph Studio will render any of my Recorded TV files that are .TS. It will open the mpg files fine though. All the files are stored on our WHS. They all will play in Sage.

On my XP office machine the .ts files open fine in both GraphEdit and Graph Studio.

Anybody have an idea why I can't get a graph to open? Each time I try I just get a cryptic error message.

Thanks,
Rod

Seems like I've come across this in the past. IIRC installing the Haali splitter allowed graphedit to render the .ts files.

That worked! I wonder why? Good now in both GraphEdit and GraphStudio. Strange that it needed that. I hope that having that splitter installed wont negatively impact anything else. So far though things seem okay.

Thanks very much for the tip!

For some reason, neither Graphedit nor Graphstudio seem to use the mp2demux on .ts files. Haali registers itself to handle those files so both programs use it on those files.

As far as problems I've never had one with Haali. Some people seem to prefer the Gabest splitter for mkvs, but I've never been able to tell a difference /shrug.

Hope you get your audio issues worked out

Thanks for the reassurance on Haali.

I'll probably make a post on my audio issues after I accumulate more data.
