Telus TV channel changing

I'm trying to setup Telus TV in GP, AB, Canada, with SageTV. I just upgraded to the latest SageTV. Previously, I was using version 6 with regular cable provider. And, I bought a Hauppauge HVR 1600.

I am having trouble getting my blaster IR to actually change the channel (It works in WinTV7 but I can't get it to work in SageTV even though it is selected in video source).

I'm hopeful I will get it working. I"m not new to SageTV and have been using it for years with a Hauppauge 250. Hopefully, someone on these forums will help me figure it out.

I got it to change channels with the IR blaster and SageTV, but the Hauppauge 45 button remote control is not working, even in WinTV. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with the included hardware with my new HVR-1600. I updated to the latest Haupauge drivers. That may be when the remote stopped working.

The remote is working as well now. The IR cable was not pushed in all the way.
