Scrolling through DVD list is slow now
I just got BMT going and I have pulled down almost all of the images for my 400 DVDs. But now when I scroll through the list on my HD300, it's very slow using page down.
I though it would be a bit slower, but this is really a pain. Any tweaks that can be done? thanks

if you've download fanart for 400 movies, then whatever plugin you are using will have to scale those images to resolution that "ok" for the extenders. That's probably what you are experiencing. Since all bmt does is download the files, then it's job is done
![]() Depending on the plugin being used, there may be options to pre-scale the images (again, this is not a bmt thing, its up to the plugins to scale and show images)

Is anyone else having this slowness? If not, could you tell me what plugin you are using and how it's set? that might work better for me?
thanks again

The plugins that install install... offer different features... Whether or not you need/want to uninstall a plugin will depend on whether or not you want the features that the plugin offers. I personally use the phoenix fanart plugin, and yeah, I recall it being sluggish when I first enabled it, since it had to rescale the images, on the fly, as the UI was being drawn. Now, it's normal, because the rescaling only happens once.

The method in diamond is pretty fast in the next build at scaling and rescaling, but will stay have the same issue stuckless mentioned on the first go around.

So your saying it will be slow if I turn off the extender and turn it back on, then go in to view the list. After viewing the list it is faster, this will happen every time I turn off the extender...right.
just trying to understand all the nuances. thanks for the replys.

ok, I think it's working fine now. Little slow, but I think I can live with it.
Now, some of my coverart is in a different language. How do I choose a different image. Do I just delete the ones I don't want from the fanart directory? Also, I have some blurays that the fanart will not show. Now there is images in the fanart directory for those blurays. Like my 2 spiderman movies show a green arrow pointing up with 3 green line just before it. Really weird. I don't see these images int he directory though. thanks
