You can use it but there are some issues as we haven't fixed it to work fully yet.

It looks like I have everything working with both the latest version of diamond and all it's features and sageTV 7.1.5. All I did was make a backup of:

C:\Program*\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV7\SageTV7.xml (if you have sageTV 7.1.5 installed)

...and replace that file with the SageTV7.xml file from (from version 7.1.2). Then restart sageTV service and respective clients.

I haven't noticed any side-effects in doing this, but this is the quickest way to have sageTV 7.1.5 installed with full diamond functionality. It's easy to revert back if it has issues. However, needless to say... disclaimer.. use at your own risk.

Might as well just stay on 7.1.2, reverting the 7.1.5 STV to 7.1.2 does the same thing, and remember there are other files that get updated with an install not just the STV, so you are risking having jars etc that do not match up... I'd just wait till we get a chance to upgrade 7.1.5 or later, but its up to you and if like the thrill of possibly having your wife freak on you ;o).

And FYI you won't have everything working like 7.1.5 as the 7.1.5 STV adds new season episode info to the info areas and the channel logos from zap2it just to name a few. Not sure a mixed up setup is worth the possible trouble.

Good luck

J

Waiting for the "ok" word from the Diamond team also before I do the 7.15 upgrade. I wish SageTV would just adopt Diamond as the default community theme so that it doesn't break when there are new updates.

So take your time guys, but please hurry.

Diamond is so popular, we have die hard "install every beta" users, holding off for Diamond 3.2

I wish Sage had the money to hire you (maybe they do?)

So it would be fine to go ahead with Diamond 3.1, but we should not go ahead with 7.1.5 until another release of Diamond comes out that is compatible with 7.1.5?

You can do as you wish there are some issues with 7.1.5 but none of them are "major" so to speak. We are trying to ready a 7.1.5 release asap.

I have several plugins installed on SageV 7.15. For several days, I have not had any problems whatsoever in any plugins. Reverting the file mentioned here is the easiest for people who have a sagTV 7.1.x which let you take the cake and eat it too. However, if you have a sageTV version 7.1.2, you dont need to do anything.
