Unhappy HD PVR W7 S7 install error

Here is what I did:
* Downloaded the drivers from Hauppauge & ran the installer, it told me there wasn't any recognized hardware
* Connected the USB cable
* Ran the installer again
* Restarted the computer
* Went to Sage > Setup> Setup Video Sources? > Add Device. The HD PVR was listed but I couldn't get it to show me a preview (hooked up to Blu-Ray player with no disk in it just for testing till I get cable boxes).
* I added the device with no line up to try testing it full screen
* I tuned to channel 1 and instantly got an error in the messages

"Error - Capture Device Failure while Starting Recording
The capture device imput Hauppauge HD PVR Capture Device Component+SPDIF had a failure while trying to start the recording of "No Data" on Component+SPDIF on physical channel 1 at Fri 3/18 17:00."

I'm super overwhelmed with school and work atm, wasn't expecting the HD PVR to give me any issues I still have the 5x HVR-1600 installed and they when in easy as pie.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Fixed

I'm not sure if this is the recommended method or not, but it worked for me.

* Uninstall SageTV
* Restart server
* Connect all HD PVRs
* Install Hauppauge HD PVR Driver
* Restart
* Install SageTV

When I reinstalled SageTV it kept all my favorites, existing tuners, and channel lineups.

I got the idea from reading an older thread, but it was at least a couple years old, different OS and version of SageTV.
