I initially had issues with studdering video, audio drop outs and a BSOD. The only changes I made were to switch to Sage service as opposed to Sage Desktop and I scheduled a daily stop/start of SageTV service. It has been 20 days or so since those changes and I have not had any issues.

JVM max

I should say that Sage support has replied with results of logs I sent them and the issue that time was the HD-PVR driver not the Colossus driver. The HD-PVR had a scheduled recording and locked up. When it locked up it took the Colossus and all of Sage down as well.

The same thing happened last night. Because of an upcoming recording scheduled for the Colossus Sage used the HD-PVR for live TV instead. The recording/bling lights started going on and off non-stop and the symptoms were same as in the Colossus slow-motion thread. Sage UI became unresponsive, JVM memory maxed out and finally had to do a net stop/net start on the Sage service. Nothing was being recorded on the Colossus at all. Only the HD-PVR.

I am going to try and reproduce my issues when only the Colossus is being used taking the HD-PVR out of the loop but I'd add another question to the poll - Do you also have a HD-PVR in your system with the Colossus?

Problems I've experienced:
I. SageTV hangs completely when using Colossus for viewing Live TV (SageTV does not recover and must be restarted)
II. In-progress Colossus recording hangs within 2 minutes of the HD-PVR USB beginning a new recording (SageTV eventually recovers without requiring a restart)
III. Component+SPDIF recordings stutter if the broadcast is in Stereo. (but playback fine if the broadcast is in 5.1 audio) - as a result, I'm only using Component+Analog for recording.

>> 1: What Input are you using?
Component + Analog audio (see III above).

>> 2: What TV Service are you on?
Verizon Fios (w/QIP-7100 series STB)

>> 3: What SageTV setup are you using?
C: SageTV Server in Services mode

>> 4: Do you have any add on Themes, Plugin or any type Customizations plases list.
BMT, SRE, Webserver, Info Pop-up

>> 5: What OS are you using XP, Vista or W7
32-bit XP Home

>> 6: Do you have WinTV7 and Showbiz install and test it to?
No

>> 7: What SageTV memory usage at the time this issue starter
In the case of II and III above, memory usage is not abnormal (usu. around 700-800MB out of a max 1024).
In the case of I above (the catastrophic failure), I am not sure of the memory usage at the time of failure.
