Getting through lists of movies

This is utterly ridiculous. As I continue to grow my vast library of movies I am plagued with the cumbersome task of paging through them. I am running the latest beta. Even on my computer with the client running I can't type TRON to get to tron. T-R-O-N takes me to everything else BUT tron! What gives? I used to LOVE sageMC's alphabet bar but even that won't help me as the movie collection gets larger. Does anyone have a decent way to get around?!

The default STV simply jumps to the next item starting with the letter you entered; you can't spell an item like you tried.

Try enabling the hidden features & check out the Quick Filter option - it will then filter items in the video browser by what you type using letters or numbers.

Weird, I just went to "Search -> Videos -> Search Titles", typed "Flags of" and see only "Flags of Our Fathers" QED.

True, when I type Tron, I get nothing, but then I don't have any movies by that name.

I enabled it and will give it a try. I enabled it on an older HD200 and thought it was adding too much for a few features I was interested in.

Most, if not all, of the extra features can be disabled, so you don't have to use them all.

I realize this is super old but how do you clear the letters typed? Do you delete or back I see?

Just wondering I am making a keyboard in iRule for sagetv.

If you're talking about text boxes in SageTV, I hit STOP on my remote to delete the last character I typed.
