Streaming Video

I need a few pointers to help me understand how streaming video may be incorporated into Sage. I don't mind Googling and reading, I just need to know some keywords so I know what to Google.

I'm a big F1 fan and SpeedTV provides online real time video streaming of the various F1 practice sessions that are not televised. I'd like to capture the video stream and save it so I can watch it at my leisure. If I get really ambitious I may even look into how to make it look line a channel to Sage.

I did some initial searching and I found many references to "RTP" and "RTSP". Is that what I need to read up on?

I know there is the "web feed encoder" that uses VLC to capture the stream and convert it to .mpg so maybe it would be easier just to use that?

Yeah def check out wfe. Michaeljcox (I believe). Did an amazing job on that tool and it will do what u want. All u would news to so is setup the channel in wfe then import it with the wfe tool to your sage guide. Access your sage server through mobile web ui, and start that channel recording... Then you could stream the f1 directly to your mobile device!

Is that what you want to do?
